The Health Risks of Refined White Sugar

Refined Processed White Sugar depresses the immune system and causes overall weaknesses.

The problem with highly processes refined bleached white sugar, is that it is stripped of all the natural nutrients that would have helped it to be absorbed slowly, in a time release fashion. Refined sugar when eaten, is absorbed into the blood stream all at once, causing a spike in the sugar levels, which then causes the body to go into stress mode, and to overproduce insulin in the pancreas to lower the high blood sugar levels.

To avoid this, do not regularly eat lots of foods processed with refined sugar, High Fructose Corn Syrup, or Agave syrup.
Agave is considered to be a more “natural” form of sugar, but actually, Agave is a highly refined processed sugar, that contains more fructose than high fructose corn syrup.
Fructose as a refined sugar is metabolized exclusively in the liver, and immediately converted to triglycerides, then stored as body fat.

Excessive amounts refined sugar, and high fructose is associated with metabolic conditions like diabetes, and insulin sensitivity.

Some sugars are better for you than other sugars, so avoid all foods made with refined processed sugars, artificial chemical sweeteners like aspartame, and sugar alcohols like xylitol.

For some sugar alternatives, use natural sweeteners like fruit juice, maple syrup, raw honey, raw cane sugar, molasses, and Stevia.
